ISG addition
The ISG Museum has officially announced the opening date for the expansion which adds a new wing designed by Renzo Piano.
The renovations, which will more than double the size of the existing building, are scheduled to be complete in January of 2012. Check out this graphic to get a better idea of the orientation of the new wing.
Any change to the museum is in direct conflict of Isabella Stewart Gardner's Will. Regardless of my feelings about the expansion, I'm still not entirely unconvinced that this change is not an attempt to salvage Hawley's career at the ISG. Yet, even if that is the case, I can't say I blame her.
